When I play a file I recorded in audio recorder lite, iTunes plays it but simultaneously plays other iTunes files. How can I prevent this?

    Thank you

    • Dar Jeffrey,
to prevent this you need to change the default audio player from iTunes to another one.

  2. a file was accidentally deleted and showed up in trash, but i can’t pull it up now. any suggestions?

    • Dear Judith,
it should be possible to drag & drop the audio file from the trash into other location.

    • Yes, on delete Easy Audio Recorder moves files into trash. You can recover your file from the Mac trashcan.

I was using this for a couple of days recording a series of talks. This morning when I tried to open it, it was x’d out in my apps, not accessible, and all my recordings were gone. I can get back some of the recordings but much was lost. Frustrating and maddening.

    • The Easy Audio Recorder stores all recorded files into ~/Music/EasyAudiorecorderLite. If can not find the files on this location, the possible reasons are
      1. You moved the files using the Easy Audio Recorder into the trashcan,
      2. You have problems with your hard drive,
      3. You deleted the recorder files in ~/Music/EasyAudiorecorderLite manually, using, for instance, the Finder or any other tool.

I wanted to record 24bit wav files. This is why I purchased this EasyAudioRecorder because the instruction video said I can adjust the bit rate. But it doesn’t let me chose the bit rate. I would like a refund as the app does not have what I require. I just purchased it about 1 hour ago. Thank you!

    • Dear Natsumi Takagi,
The video instruction is correct because the “bit rate” refers to the audio quality of the stream. It is measured in Kilobitspersec(kbps or k). Bit rate is the number of bits (data) encoded per second or the number of bits transmitted or received per second. For good quality mp3 music usually 64–128kbps(96kbps+ recommended) bit rate is preferred.

Is it possible that you mean “bits per sample”?

How can I make an interview podcast with a guest remotely on MP3?

    • Dear Soha, if you want to record the internal audio sound you can install an additional audio device driver. For example “Soundflower”, and set it as default.

The app works nicely even in the Lite version. It would be useful to have an icon in the top menu when the app is running. Any plans to add this feature?

I just installed Easy Audio Recorder Lite. I am trying to record screen audio on a Mini Mac running IOS 10.13.6. In system preferences, my computer says “Line in, Audio Line-in port”. There are no other choices. When I try to record, the APP creates a WAV file, but when I play it back there is no sound. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to install a driver? If so, what kind?

    • Dear Bob,
Yes, if you want to record the internal audio sound you can try to install an additional audio device driver. For example “Soundflower”, and set it as default.
